  1. Recently whenever I put a disc into my dvd-r drive and it starts reading my comp would reboot. Whenever I try to mount an image it reboots again. I just finished making a image of a PS2 game with DVD decrytor and it finished so I went to exit out of DVD decrytor and it rebooted again. Or whenever I'm extracting/making a large zip or rar file and open another app it reboots.

I do leave my computer on everyday and did it for a while. Is my power supply dying or is there something with the comp. Is there any way to isolate the problems to see which is cuasing this. Thanks.

My computer did that just before the power supply stuffed up my M/B.
Buy yourself a GOOD brand power supply. I bought a 420W thermaltake and I have no problems now.

Could be PS or could be CPU overheat. Your BIOS should give you more info. Usually has a temperature readout and and a voltage readout. Third choice is a memory module going bad. If your PS is cheap and small, upgrade it. If your CPU is too hot, change out your CPU cooler or add fans. If your memory is bad, substitute.

  4. Cooling is fine. My CPU at idle is 34 and full load 44-45. I'll check the volts. But I'm thinking its the PS. I'm thinking about get a new Antec 550 with true control. Does anyone have this if so how is it?

  5. Here are my volts:

    +2.5v = 2.48v
    +3.3v = 3.30v
    +5v = 5.04v
    +12v = 0.0v

    +Vccp = 1.50v
    +Vcc = 3.34v

Buy it. It's a top brand.

How can you have "0.0v" for your 12 volts? Your machine should be dead, at this point.
