  1. I have a song I recorded on a cassette that I would like to burn on a CD. Can I do this? If so, how? What software do I need, etc.?

    thanks in advance.

You can try Gold Wave. You need a cord that has two plugs that fit into you cassette player's headphones port, and the the Line In port for your computer. Ensure Line In is selected for recording.

Play the cassette, and start recording on Gold Wave. save as a wave file. A good burner like Nero can burn the wave into a CD-R, to make your CD.

yes you can. hook a walkman's or your stereo's headphone socket to your Line_In on your sound card. You can use any software that can capture from your sound card, but I would recommend something like Audacity to record the input to a WAV file.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. Nero Wave Editor will perform this task for you. As already mentioned a suitable lead will be required to hook up your cassette player to the PC's sound card.
