on my PC, but i need a software that reads 3 drives. Currently i am using nero easy cd/dvd creator and that only reads 2 drives.

Any suggestions on a software that enables my computer to read 3 drives for burning.

But you only have 2 burners, so 2 burners is all that will be recognised by your burning software. Nero will not show your DVD-ROM when it is not capable of burning.

    6. Does Nero Support writing to more than one recorder at a time?

Yes. For how to use this feature in Nero refer to this link to a step by step PDF file: http://www.nero.com/en/index.html#c1034060180057
With OEM versions you can only write to one recorder.
With Nero Demo and Retail versions, you can write to two
    recorders.
For additional recorder support you must purchase an upgrade to a new Serial Key to support additional drives. Cost of the upgrade is listed below:

    Multiple Recorder Support

    1. Nero support max. 7 recorders simultaneous price 249,00 USD
    2. Nero support unlimited recorders simultaneous price 499,00 USD
( Note: We have test 24 recorders simultaneously to date, and simply have not had the system to test more.)
I believe discjuggler pro also allows support for more than 2 burners.

    Bart9 Says ... I have 2 burners and 1 dvd player

    Lacywest says ... thats nice

    Bart9 then asks me ...

"what type of software do you use lacywest to run two burners and 1 dvd player?"

    -------------------------------------------------------
Sorry ... I'm being a dick ... just a tinge ... I did have a CD burner but I removed it and installed the Toshiba instead ... I needed it to read DVD-RAM disks.

Back to the subject ... can a external USB DVD Burner ... be detected

  7. Standard nero will support 2 burners, if you want more then you need to buy the more expenive version, or look into discjuggler like I mentioned earlier.

i have standard nero and it does not support 2 burners, and 1 dvd player. it only supports 2 drives total. if you read my earlier message, nero's only software that supports 7 dvds or burners costs close to 300 dollars, so thats not what i am looking for.

Also the other thing your recommended discjuggler , i downloaded a demo, that does not support 2 burners, so your info is not correct.

and the demo DJ also burnt CD's at 1X...full functioning software probably supports 3 drives, as DJ tends to be really barebones on the demos they supply.

If you read my first post you will notice that I stated that discjuggler pro supported multiple drives. There is nothing wrong with the information I gave you. And as DeleruimMDK stated trialware is often crippled.

    Also you quoted

My reply was that this was incorrect Nero can burn to 2 drives.

what version nero do you have that allows you to burn with 2 dvd burners and 1 player, meaning, using 3 drives all at the same time.

i contact nero tech support, and they said the only software that they have that can do that is the professional nero called Nero max. 7 & 32 recorders - and this thing costs close to 300 dollars.

currently i am using nero easy cd and dvd creator 6 and it only supports 2 drives.

    I never said that.

I said that nero could burn to 2 drives after you quoted it could burn to just 1

Why not just pay for the software that will do what you want?
