This is a dead horse. The geek with the apparently not-so-hot media has been banned.

    Lets move on...

Does anyone know who the manufacturer is THIS week? (isn't Khypermedia pretty much anything they find in the trash can outside the manufacturing plants? )

Ok dear, dont forget to wipe your naked geek.

Actually, I couldnt find KHypermedia 4x in the media section, but most of the other sppeds show as cmc except for one that shows as TDK. im betting this is CMC though.

  7. There is a good deal for FUJI TY's in that Office Max flyer. 13 bucks for the Fuji 10 pack jewel case after 5 dollar mail-in rebate. I'll probably snag 1 or 2.

Ever notice how they wont show the speed in the photo?
Anyway, I was in there a few days ago and they already had em out and the ones I saw were indeed 2.4x

WOW that is a GREAT price. This goes into effect his Sunday? ... as in 04/04/2004?

    - John "FulciLives" Coleman

    P.S.
I just noticed the price is really $17.99 less $5.00 mail-in-rebate but even $17.99 is still good for Taiyo Yuden discs.

Negative, I was just there..the 10 pack jewel (regular $25.) is 4x TY (Japan). The spindles are Taiwan...the price is also good indication (sale isn't until tomorrow).

My local store checked stock and the good news is that the DVD+R 25 pack is 4X. The bad news is that it is Taiwan so not TY.

Nomorecoasters.com reports Khypermedia is CMC and is 4th class.
Still a few bugs in the system...

So far, at least. This can always change.
But again, so far, this is how it's been for more than a year.

I dunno about other CMC, but CMC MAG F01 is certainly NOT 4th class.

These are the common 4x DVD+R that you find in TDK, Memorex, Imation etc. These discs are actually quite good.

IMHO. YMMV, but it certainly is NOT a generalisation. They work very well for other people.

4th class i would accept for Princo. Yet to come across a quality Princo disc.

I have to agree with that - not that i have much experience but this is the most "reasonable" media I could find in Israel (not crap media, yet not TY...) and it costs here 2$ each in a 25 pack.
anyway... i've burned a few already and no coasters so far and good dvd playback upto the 4.3GB mark... no freezes or any of those probs...

Just thought of something ... this will be $50 for 50, and you can only hope the rebate will come. Then it will be $30 for 50. Better deals online. I'm still waiting on my OM Ridata rebate, 2 months later.

  17. I still think the 10 pack for 13 bucks (after rebate) isn't too shabby. $1.30/disk, TY, with jewel case (no shipping). I might just pick up a couple of 10 packs for my ultra critical backups.....

If someone can find them that cheap online...let me know.

    Thanks

$1.50 with very low shipping and no grief with rebates. Also, a very highly rated seller.

I got the same e mail too, but checked the status of my rebate today and they say the check is in the mail. As for the Fuji -R 10 packs, they are the Made in Japan ones at the South Attleboro Massachusetts store near me.
