    I can not play my ac3 files created with softencode on any of my computers media players. I read the help in softencode and it says that this has something to do with my computers sound card setup and this is not to be a big concern because the file is fine. The help said something about a bit being set which causes the computer hardware to not be able to play the file. The ac3 file does seem to be ok but I was wondering if there is any way to play this file with my media players.

    Do you have an AC3 codec installed ? Normally PowerDVD and equivalent software should install one for you.
    If in doubt, Google it.
