  1. or burnt dvd's with home movies? I Assume probably not but I was just wondering since I was thinking of getting a ps2.

    YES they can playback any DVD video , original or back up. They cannot play VideoCD.

  3. I just tried it out, and it played three different discs perfectly. You shouldn't have a problem.

    FYI, I was using BulkPaq DVD-Rs, and these have a Princo dye on them.

  4. actually...some ps2's dont.
    I have found the older ones dont like home made dvd's. whilst the newer ones do.

    You may have to try different media on the older ones.

  6. My first run PS2 plays any DVD+R I've made so far. It all depemds oen the laser in the machine.

    Older ones can sometimes read both but most prefer -r

  8. My machine is three years old and it can play +R discs. Only tried a couple, as I primarily use -R.
