  2. with it being on geocities dont you have quite a small data transfer limit
    if so you wont be able to host tools also most of the creators of the tools want people to visit their website

    Not to rain on your parade on anything, but I'm thinking that unless your site can offer something unique, you're not going to be able to go up against DVDRHelp.com, Doom9.org, etc. with any chance of success. In other words, what would make me want to visit your site over the established sites? What information would your site offer that I can't already get from DVDRHelp.com and Doom9.org? Is your site going to offer unique content, or is it just going to have a bunch of links back to DVDRHelp.com and Doom9.org content, in which case why wouldn't I just go to those sites to begin with? You need to find the answers to those questions before spending the time and effort (and possibly money) on such a venture, because if your site isn't going to offer something that the others don't, I fear you'll be wasting your time. In any event, good luck!

  7. I agree with MJPollard, but don't let that discourage you! DVDRHelp is the definitive site for near enough anything DVD related. With a huge user base, good forums and excellent admin, it's next to impossible for anyone to beat. I wouldn't suggest you try. However, if you have anything video-related to add, then go for it. I recently added a thread in the computer forum on AMD overclocking - video editing needs all the power it can get. Not sure how many people are actually finding it useful, but no matter. I gave it a shot, and you can too.

    I'm not sure what you could put up on there, but whatever you do decide to go with, I wish you the best of luck!

  8. you could try revamping a guide that you dont think is particularly clear
    or create a new guide dont know what on as everything seems pretty much covered

    I tell you what;

    Judging from your previous posts to this forum, you are gonna struggle...bigtime. Is the first reply in your guestbook you ?

    Your website isn't exactly brimming with aesthetic appeal either.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  11. First thing you need to do is add a DONATION link. With the extra money, you can do anything you wish. You can get your own host and even hire someone to design the website for you.

    Now for the hard stuff: how to get someone to donate money.

    Your going to need to start out with a real host, if on a budget check out doorhost.net. If the site gets big however eventually your gonna be looking at some sort of co location and thats $$$$

    And, as an added bonus we also have Jeex, Will Hay, Indo, and tgpo to name just a few that add just a little slice of something different here...
