I recorded UPN last night ( ENTERPRISE and STARGATE ) while I was at church , came home and started watching . This message kept popping up on screen:
There Were Some Copy-Protected Areas

Is this a signal sent out from station to abort viewers from recording, or did I do something wrong?
I used a TDK 2x DVD-RW disk. Prior to setting the timer I used the erase function from the menu to clear previous programing recorded.

Sorry to change topics,
but how well does your Pioneer 210 tuner work?
How is the picture quality compared to analog feed from
cable,etc.
I was thinking about getting one.
Thanks -
I am very pleased with this recorder. My problem appears to have been the media, I reformatted the rw and there are no problems on future recordings. This was a fluke and problem resolved.
I believe the quality of tuner is top notch, bit color appears not as vivid as broad cast but the dvd recorded, played on another player or computer is as vivid as tv tuner.
I payed less than $300 including shipping and am tickled pink with it. I AM NOT as demanding of of PQ as some here. I am pleased with the longer recording speeds. Do a search for my posts and there are some snapshots of Beverly hill billies and hG tv from my recorder at LP.God Bless
