  1. Using DVD Shrink to re-author a DVD.

In the main movies section, I see 2 large video files almost having the same length. One is 10 seceonds longer than the other one.
I ripped the first one, and burned it using NERO. Plays the entire movie, no problem. Just wondering why there was another video file. When I look at the content of the 2ndin DVD Shrink it seems to have the same content (entire movie). but WHY do I see 2 videofiles ??

    Thank you.

  2. The original DVD has two titles in the same VTS which re-use the same cells. It's common for example on kids DVDs - one title is the movie as it is, the other one is the same movie but with some sort of user interaction (some game or something).

  3. Thank you Petar.
I understand from your answer that it does not matter then which one I take to rip.
I did not include the menus on the new DVD (so games etc can not be accessed anyway).

  4. Copy always the movie only (normally it's the shorter title) because the other one may contain an additional video (like "Congratulations, you won" or something).

Sometimes there is a widescreen version and a 4:3 on the same
    disk.

  7. These are authored in separate VTSs. You can tell the difference by the size of the disc. Two titles of the same movie in one VTS take space for one. In two VTSs take double the space.
