  1. Hi,
I'm using Ulead DVD Workshop 2.0 and I tried to split a video file (taken from VHS) into about 500 chapters.
The Problem is that only 99 Chapters are supported:

    Original Error Message:

I'm wondering if there is a way to override this restriction (crack or something).
I don't know if this is a general restriction for a valid DVD or just a ulead thing...

I have to be done with it till Monday so i'd appreciate some quick answers
    Thanx

Have you tried contacting Ulead for support?

  3. I posted in the ulead support forum...
The problem is i don't have much time to work, my girlfriend's birthday is on monday so it HAS to be done this weekend

BTW: Do other authoring tools also have these restrictions (max. 99 chapters)? ArcSoft Showbiz for instance doesn't appear to have an auto split feature which makes it rather useless for me...

Probably, but as you state that time is of the essence a phone call would be quicker than waiting for a reply.

    From the Glossary:

    Chapter
A DVD 'Chapter' (somewhat confusingly referred to as a 'Part' in the parlence of DVD authors) is generally a logical segment of a Title such as a scene in a film or one interview in a set of cast interviews. There can be up to 999 Chapters in one DVD Title. dvd.sourceforge.net

  8. i don't have a serial number and ulead doesn't give support for the trial version.

It really seems this is a DVD Workshop issue and not based on DVD standard restricions.... thanks for your help

  9. ok I'll give dvdlab a try, hope the 30 day trial doesn't have any restrictions (that "you have to purchase the product or you won't be able to save your work" crap)

PS: This forum is great: nice people and quick answers
