oh no it hurts me soo much being virtualy cut down. LOL WTF... F'ing net nerds. DID that hurt?
Oh ya and there are no watermarks on the pic what so ever just dark banners at the top and bottom of the screen. They don't interfere with the movie at all. And it is the retail disk I just don't have the dongle and I wanted to know if i could get rid of those banners/headers without it. But since u guys are being dinks about it...... -
it will not install without the dongle with version 1.5 (the cd version) and also a serial number.
the demo and downloadable versions (1.25) will install in demo mode though ..

If it was loaned to you, then that is in violation of the original license agreement which says for use on exactly one computer per license (hence the dongle thingy).
Advice, try TMPGEnc as it is MUCH cheaper, and most likely will do what you need. It too has a demo, and if memory is correct, won't leave any watermark or banner or what have you during the demo period. Just a picture from the net, I was looking for a picture of the install CD, but didn't find one. Thought the "dongle thingy" would be the next best thing.

the dongle is the same -- they also include a usb hub and extension cable , the nice people from canopus ..

weekends - yes , sometimes ... but ill bring my kids with me and they can watch movies all day in the screening room/theater
dont know what type of dongle .. dont think its rainbow as all my rainbow dongles are white square ones ... i got a little tiny green one , a par. port white one (really two of those - but only one in use at the moment), a blue one and i cant remember color of last one ..
