  1. Hi,

I am going to buy a DC for my B'day coming up.. and just a few questions to anyone that owns one -

    1. How easy is it to copy DC games?
    2. How good is VCD playback using that playing program?
    3. Where can I get discjuggler etc and explain what it is more please?

Anything else I should know? Thanks bye.

  2. DC use to be one of the best

u cant copy a DC game cd-rom to cd-writer u need a gd-rom to read the game but it is not sold yet..only DC has this reading lazer.

VCD playback: u need a card for that to get a decent movie quality out of it, i do not recommend DC as ur VCD playback

Discjuggler is a CD duplication software which u can download as a demo here http://www.padus.com it is one of the best duplication software, i recomend it for backing up PSX games

i hope i didnt discourage u from buying a DC....DC is a very grest console and has one of the best graphix capabilities out there and it is cheap

Yes, buy your DC! It can emulate all of your old systems like Genesis, NES, SNES, Gambeoy... just to name a few.
The VCD playback I haven't seen for myself, but I hear it is not good. It's kind of a waste of money to get the VCD Playback enhancer thing, too. As for games, it is as easy as loading mIRC and going to a dreamcast piracy room and logging on to an fserv and searching for the game you want, type get then the filename, and you're on your way to DC ISO city. I use Nero personally, since I don't like having like eight million software applications that all do the same thing. I convert the CDI images to NRG images with a little tool I got somewhere on the net called CDI2NRG or something like that. I searched on google for it. More cool features of the DC are the ability to play Plyastation one games and MP3 music files... not to mention the online games and internet connectivity with 56K or broadband.

  4. Absolutely buy a DC. Even if you're not comfortable with the IRC you can join a forum much like this one to get games. I only use the IRC for fills if anything. Most of the time I use forums since I have private status on a couple boards. I always convert my game images to .nrg files like Tibro mentioned. The program is actually called cdi2nero. You can get it at http://www.gamecopyworld.com
If you want to trade games let me know.
Also if you want to rip your own games you can get the connector thing that goes from your DC to you computer at
    http://www.lik-sang.com
In short, don't copy your own games, download them. It's much easier. If you need some help let me know...email me. I have some places I'd be glad to let you know about for games besides the IRC.

gambit32, since I was practically born on IRC that is where I go to when I need something. But I wouldn't mind learning of another, less annoying way to get DC Games... care to email me some of the info you have? I usually delete the game ISOs once I am done burning them, and I end up giving away most games to friends after I get bored, so that sucks for me in that whenever I go to get more games, I have nothing to trade with. Is your forum method friendly to those like me? Or is it like IRC where it will be really hard to get games? That's another reason why I don't like pirating DC games, and I use the DC for its other functions instead.
