In terms of speed and efficiency what is the best way to make a dvd from a movie already stored in your hard drive and how long does/should it take? Any info would be great....thanks so much!!!!

If it's already on the hard drive burn the video_ts folder with the dvd-video setting (in something like nero). can't get any quicker than that

You don't give enough information to answer your question.
What format is the movie in ? i.e. AVI , Mpeg , etc
Is it alredy encoded into DVD compliant Mpeg1/2?
What are your computer specs? (you should fill the basics in your profile , especially if you are asking questions about speed)
What software are you using or expect to use?
