  1. I?ve been trying to author a dvd recorded from a standalone dvd recorder using TMPGEnc DVD Author by extracting the files recorded from the recorded dvd-rw that was burned from the pioneer 310s standalone on my computer to the hard drive using TMPGEnc DVD Author..when I open TMPGEnc DVD Author and open the files from the hard drive I get the video porion but no audio when editing. I click the click the vts files in the hard drive directory I get audio and video..is there another program that I have to run the audio and video stream through so I can get the audio going in the TMPGEnc DVD Author program?

I'm assuming that since you "authored" the files you have two folders ..."VIDEO_TS" and AUDIO_TS" on the HD? And they have .VOB, .IFO and .BUP files in the VIDEO_TS folder? Those .VOB files have both the video and the audio multiplexed together. It's called a "program stream". What you're describing sounds like you're only opening "Elementary Stream" files, one of which is video and the other is audio. But those don't get written as .VOB files. Those are usually .M2V or .M2P for video and .MPA or something else for audio.

The .VOB files already are muxed video and audio. Are you saying you authored it which generated the .IFO and .BUP files, but it didn't generate .VOB files? Or do you have .VOB files in the VIDEO_TS folder?
