Encoding failed from avi to SVCD

Hi !

What am i doing wrong ?

I installed the ffmpegx and all the extra stuff correctly and when i want to encode a .avi to a 16:9 SVCD i get the error message:

Try to open your avi with Quicktime Player. What happens?

I have opened the avi file with Quicktime and both audio and image is perfect

im having the exact same problem,trying to encode .mov imovie files to VCD,even trying to encode things that worked before but wont now.all appears well with my instalation etc,all the relevant files operate correctly in quicktime ,but still all i get is:

**ERROR: [mpeg2enc] Could not read YUV4MPEG2 header: system error (failed read/write)!

i also get this problem when trying to encode avi files that quicktime readds correctly.
