i've read a lot of post saying ritek disc dont work in this drive, which is false cause that is what i've only used in this device since i got it 2 months ago. using ridata -R 4x & no coasters ever. one this is when i try to make an iso from a previously copied disc i get all these read errors. check picture. i'm curous about how many other 2500 owners are getting this message when they try to copy a copy and which media they are tryin to copy from when they get the message.

im thinkn it's a bad drive but possibly its the media, ima go buy some new type of media today n test it out.

    1) do u get the message too when copying a copy?
    2) what brand of disc are u trying to copy from?
    3) are u like me and think its the burner?

  2. This drive is a great burner but very bad at reading.

My friend is getting the same read error on most DVD-R's other drives can rip.

I believe its a firmware problem and new one ought to be released with a better reading strategy.
