I use DVD SHRINK 3.0 for dvd9 and Nero burn version 5.5.10.42. Also use DVD DECRYPTER for dvd5 to ISO image then use it to burn as well. I also use IMG TOOL BURN. I haven't tried the newest DVD SHRINK that has built in NERO. I feel if it ain't broke why use the newest version of DVD SHRINK. My backup dvds burn ok using a old version of DVD SHRINK.

  3. the last few days i had problems burning to +RW with DVDDecrypter, the video will hang when about halfway into the movie. I dont know if this problem would affect the final burn to -R but i will not burn before i have a successfull +RW. Just today i tried burning the same movie twice with dvddecrypter it kept on getting bad in the middle, and the same happenend 2 days ago with another movie i backed up. Then when burned with TDA (used the same image created with IMGtools) on the same +RW disk it plays perfect in both pc and standalone. I am now sure its not a coincidence, so i think i have a problem.

My dvdvdecrypter is 3.2.1.0, and i wonder what version you guys use for "no coasters"?

I only use DVD Decrypter but I only ever do DVD-R discs ... never burned a DVD-RW in my life. I'm lucky enough to have an old Sigma Designs Hollywood Plus MPEG decoder card. I use that hooked up to a 13" TV to test my MPEG encoding. It saves time from burning a DVD-RW/+RW for testing purposes. It's like having a DVD player built-in to the computer ... output works the same and is the same quality as a DVD player ... not shit quality output as per most Video Card TV outputs.

In short since I never burn to DVD-RW I can't really comment on why you are having problems with doing it.

  5. ImgTools Classic + Roxio 6 (burn from ISO)

(gives me the ability to add PAR2 data to the VIDEO_TS folder prior to burning)

I only used Clonedvd, but since FULCI started praising it I gave DVD Decrypter a go, and it's not bad.

I have absolutely NO idea what you are trying to say with these two posts back-to-back.

Sorry FULCI, I was saying that I only used CloneDVD (or TMPG Author) til I saw you raving about DVD Decrypter and decided to give it a try. I find it works OK. With a dual layer I use DVD shrink.

I use Elby's CloneDVD 2 with AnyDVD running in the background.
    I also use Ritek +R's burning @ 2.4x speed with a Pioneer 106bk.
