Region code problem??

I have a dvdr which my region 2 player says is the wrong format, i ran it thro dvd decrypter which says there is no rec protection and shows regions 1 to 8. I ripped it ne way and burned a copy but same thing.

I tried putting it thro ifo edit but when i selected region free it found no region code protection, i burned again yet it still wont play.

The error message on my dvd player is "This disc is not formatted for the dvd players region"

Can ne1 explain wots wrong and possibly a solution?

Hi...
Probably your problem is the same that I have it... the disc has a "diferent protection", say that no RCE protection but internally has a program that send you to that message...

thanks for the link. also have this problem with one particular dvd.

I just tried with my problem disc which is a dvd with 4 episodes on, put the nop into each one and it now works.
