Hi All,

I'm using Nero VisionExpress to capture, author and burn DVD's from my VideoCam via Hauppauge. Everything works fine so far - good Videoquality even with realtime MPEG2 encoding, no audio sync issues, stable program, etc. But I can't use the whole program since the encoded audioquality is really bad. Especially the high frequencies sound absolutely blurred and distorted. But this happens only when I capture PAL into DVD mpeg format. If I capture to AVI (no compression on video and audio), the sound is perfect. So it must have something to do with the audio encoding during capture. If I capture NTSC (which uses LPCM audio instead of ac3), there is no problem as well.

The only way I can get rid of this distorted high-frequencies is to filter the audioinput with a low-pass at about 10khz which makes the sound really bad. My old taperecorder from 10 years ago recorded in better quality as I can make DVD's with this tool. :-(

Did anyone experience the same problem with Nero VE? Maybe someone can help ...

Thanks and Regards,
-Bert.
