The problem is I have TWO .mpg files extracted from the .bin SVCD.
Well if I mux those two together and try the SVCD>DVD feature, it barfs saying its not reconginzable.
HOWEVER, I can do one @ a time, and it creates the authored VOB files just fine.
But then I am left with duplicate file names. and two seperate parts to the movie in different directories. Can i just rename the second discs VOB files? And if so, to what?
Thanks

To define it
I have this
one.mpg
two.mpg both are 480x480 in 44.1khz(svcd format)
if i mux the two together i get joined.mpg
when I run SVCD > DVD option, the joined mpg's audio is converted to 48khz(which also makes it faster by a slight bit) and the audio doesnt sync up with the video
well if you run the SVCD > DVD command, it is supposed to change the header on the .m2v file to think its a valid DVD format(357(ithink)x480)
Then ffmpegx recodes the audio, and is supposed to slow it down automatically to be in sync, but it doesnt so they never sync up.
Sizzle has the same problem.
now, to MACMODERATOR(sorry forgot exact name) you want me to start that procedure with the re ecnoded .mpgs with 48k sound already? Or do that with the .mpg SVCD files?
ThanksThanks

Are you trying to make a DVD, or are you trying to put 480x480 SVCD onto a DVD?

Hi, im glalactica
Most dvd players can handle 44.1Khz for audio, so typically the audio conversion is not needed!
Id suggest visiting my webpage for the SVCD to DVD since this tutorial is what you want [minus the extract .mpeg from .bin since you already have .mpeg]
Sorry... your vocab is a little off, you say you mux both clip1 and clip2 together to get one large clip3... when in fact you are JOINING not MUXING Mux means put .m2v and .mp2 together to form .mpeg.
any ways.... im saying this...
take your clip1 and clip2 and JOIN them together to make one large clip3
Now, take clip three and DEMUX [un mux them into .m1v or .m2v and .mp2] Now REMUX them to get a new clip4
take clip4 and DEMUX it again into its components .m1v and .mp2
this double step is done to remove time coding errors on the join process.
now open sizzle, import a title and choose your clip4.m1v. Add the .mp2 audio to it and then have sizzle comile your DVD image.
Sync should be right on. Most dvd players these days dont care about it not being .mv2 and the audio being 44.1hz and should play this movie straight up!
if it doesnt..... you can change the audio to 48khz [as seen in my turoral] and proceed with sizzle using the 48khz audio file -
nope, tried it, still doesnt sync up. It plays, which wasnt the problem(though it would be nice to play it in an xbox, because if it plays in an xbox it will play in just about everything) the audio is still a little bit behind, but thanks anyways.
I just figure it cant be done...Thanks

sorry... i have yet to have sync not line up in this process....
probably something wrong with the input file....
bummer -
if it synced fine with 44khz then use that. Most dvd players can handle audio at that range anyways.
