Nice colour scheem
The only time I'v had this prob was from a dvd that was made on a standalone recorder by a friend on the same media I allways use - gave up in the end -
thanks, my task bar looks original too. may not be but i've never seen anyone else set it up like i have.

This is just a media problem, can't read some part and stops.
My 2cents advice : always do data verification after burn, that's is the best way to know if a dvd was well burnt or not. And that's why I've throw a lot of dvd in my trash bin.
you can always try with a recovery data soft (cd data rescue for example) -
My friend just complained about his NEC 2500 being a poor reader, always gets unrecovered read errors where his other burner (an LG4040) succeeds...

yeah - it's more than likely just the NEC drive. I've just swopped mine for the 107.
That NEC gave me nothing but bother. -
I guess you can try extracting with ISO Buster and then burn what you extracted. I have been able to recover stuff that I couldn't otherwise. Its worth a shot.
No, I'm from Iowa. I only work in outer space.
