Will burning at a slower speed help with quality if you have had to do a lot of compression? I assume this will only help with freezes,jerky playback etc.

Bad burns cause a loss of information, this leads to freezes and green blocks etc. It does not affect the quality of the video as such. So I agree with your assumption.

amount of compression & burning speed are NOT related in any way.
heavily compressed movie will look the same wh@ver speed its burned at..Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.
