  1. ok.....when i convert from .avi to .mpg to burn as a vcd to watch on my dvd player i'm having a problem. i burn the movie fine, picture and sound quality are great but every once in a while when watching the movie the video seems to speed up a little bit and the audio lags behind. This seems to happen about once every 5 minutes or so during the movie and the audio gets badly out of sinc (behind) the video. It's very annoying because the audio will be way behind the video and you hear the people's dialog 5 seconds before they actually say anything. The effect only last about 10-15 seconds or until the scene changes. I use tmgenc to encode the movies and nero to burn them. If anyone knows a way to resolve this problem or have just had this problem before i would really appreciate hearing about it as i can not figure out a way to make this stop.....thanks in advance!!
edit: i use virtual dub to convert the audio to a .wav file first.

  2. did you demux the mpeg file after was done ?
If not, this is how to do it:
Go to TMPGEnc>file>MPEG tolls and choose simple de-multiplexing .it will take about 10 minutes.
then go to bbMPEG>start encoding>settings and you should have MPEG output settings and the rest:
General Settings just leave it the qay it is, accept
MAx size(if you file its long and you want to split it here you put desire size of your file.
    Program stream just check SVCD
input and out put speaks for it self
Load and save settings just leave it alone
