  1. Hi ppls!

    I recently downaloded an avi movie, which I had to de-interlace and encode which took about 30hrs, but after I finished, I realised that some parts of the movie require subtitles.

    I found subs (.srt format), but i dont know how to add them (permanantly or otherwise) to the mpg file without having to re-encode and re-de-interlace.

    Pls help!!!!

    You don't state what's your target format but:
    • VCD? Then there's no other option than to reencode.
      SVCD/CVD? You can make selectable SVCD subs with WinSubMux, but not many players handle those. You'll probably have to reencode.
      DVD? You're lucky! Use srt2sup, and author with IfoEdit.
