I burned a DVD-R to play in my above player. I have never had any problems with any of my homemade DVD-R's on this unit. When I insert my new one I just burned, I get the above error message and I cant figure out what is causing it.
FYI, I play the same DVD-R in my desktop and laptop computers just fine though.
Any ideas what that message is?? If you know what the problem is, how can I fix it?
The oqners manual wa no luck either. It never referenced the message.

I seem to recall seeing the same error on my Sony Player... Turned out it was a PAL format disk. I believe you'll see the same message if you use a disk made for a different region. I ended up playing the PAL format on my Apex, rather than recoding from PAL to NTSC. One screw-up by encoding to wrong format was enough.
Good Luck
