  1. Hi everybody,

A month ago I ripped a DVD with the program "Divx Video Duplicator" ... so it creates vob files into my harddrive ...

    Now that I've just bought a DVD-R Recorder I want to burn it on a DVD-R !

The problem is that the total files size is about 5 GB and I don't want to cut the movie and burn it on 2 DVD-R !

    1) I have already tried to compress the movie with DVD Shrink but it returns an error message : <Unable to open the file ...\VIDEO_TS.IFO> -> so I renamed my file "...\vts_01_0.ifo" into "...\VIDEO_TS.IFO" -> so another error message : <Invalid DVD naviguation structure> ! ! !

If I look my filenames structure I see that :
    vts_01_1.vob
    vts_01_2.vob
    vts_01_3.vob
    vts_01_4.vob
    vts_01_5.vob
    vts_01_6.vob
    vts_01_info.txt
    vts_01.lst
    vts_01.idx
    vts_01.d2v

If I look at the filenames structure into a DVD bought I see that :
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.VOB
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_0.VOB
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_02_0.BUP
    VTS_02_0.IFO
    VTS_02_0.VOB
    VTS_02_1.VOB
    ... and the same as VTS_02 for VTS_03,04,05 ...

    2) I have already tried to make a DVD Movie Compilation with Nero Burning Rom ... Nero read my files but don't access all the data contained -> I can't see all the langage .... -> so I can't delete some langage that I don't want ... -> so I can't reduce the size of the movie files ...-> so I can't burn it on one DVD-R !!!

Note : The version of DVD Shrink I use is the last one (I think) : v3.1

    What can I do
    Someone has an idea ( ) ?

    Thanks for your help...
    Bye

You have serious problem. Maybe the program you copied the original to HDD sucks! And what to do now?

The only idea comes to me is to reauthor the movie with any authoring program (TMPGEnc DVD Author for example). It is not sure if this works, but ... no other ideas.

DVD Shrink is one of the best and if you use 3.1.7 everything is ok.

Maybe somebody else gives another idea ...

  3. Hi,
I would use IfoEdit to create new Ifo's for the movie. Detail's about How to do you can find in the Guides on this Site.

  4. Why don't you just rip the whole DVD again (with DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink directly) and save yourself all the hassle of trying to fix it?
