Removing subtitles?

Hi there. I have a few chapters of a show that were captured from video. They are in english, subtitled in swedish wich, unfortunately, does no good for me - I don´t mind being swedish, but for me there´s just a bunch of letters that I can´t understand.....


Is there any way to remove this subtitles? As I say, I would asume they were videotaped from TV, and then captured and encoded in DivX 5.whatever.

You can't remove them without messing up the picture. You can either "blur" them with a filter like the virtualdub logoaway filter or add a black box over the subtitles.
