  1. 8) I guess thats good... if you want to lug around a DVD burner that is half the size of a notbook computer...

and if you DO want to lug that around, then you could drop $50 more and get double the writing speed of 8x!

    8x Digistor External Dual Drive DVD±R/±RW $139.00

But seriously... slim line dvd burners are SIC!
You can nearly hold it in your pocket, check out the pics here under the tab "item includes" (that is the newer 4x±R/RW one)

    Or if this shows up:

That slim one that you showed is $245

The one I posted was $85 with nearly the same features except for DVD-Ram (which can only be used on DVD-Ram drives or DVD-Ram set top recorders)

Also 4x DVD speed can burn theoretically in about 18min 30 sec
8x speed is 9min 15 second real world takes a little longer being the fact the the quality 4x media is going to be a lot cheaper than the quality 8x I wouldn't mind waiting for about 20min per disk using a $85 external DVD writer

Like I said its differnt strokes for differnt folks a larger drive is fine with me if it saves me $160

But I definitely agree the slim drives do look great and are pretty slick.

I have a dvd writer built into my laptop though so I dont need one but
Since you have posted people can see that there is more than one option and a few choices

    Which is a good thing
    IMHO
