When I create a project I add files until the usage bar get near the 4.7gb line, (Normaly I stop when the project gets to the yellow area.) However when I create the DVD only 2.6gb is used & I am not missing any of my project - WEIRD or what????
Also, What does the yellow area represent?
From the posts I have read people seem to be getting the opposite problem!
When I create Disk image it says "Project content is changed. It will be automatically saved before output starts." I'd love to know what is changing as all settings appear the same. If I cancel Disk Image output & press "back" then the project bar fits! Seems to happen when I convert Pal into NTSC? I did this on one compilation which had one NTSC clip & three PAL clips. I wanted to convert the lot into NTSC because I found If I converted the NTSC into PAL I got lines on fast moving objects in the film. One file was NTSC & the others were PAL. If all items are PAL then I don't seem to have a problem! Can anyone explain this?

Click the second button in the lower left corner of the Ulead DVD MovieFactory interface.
This is called the PROJECT SETTINGS button.
After you click this button, you should see a PROJECT SETTINGS pop-up menu.
IF YOUR SOURCE FILES ARE DVD COMPLIANT, you should check the DO NOT CONVERT COMPLIANT FILES check box to avoid unnecessary re-encoding of your source files.
In addition, I click the CHANGE MPEG SETTINGS button.
After the small pop-up appears, I click the CUSTOMIZE option.
I then click the GENERAL and COMPRESSION tabs to adjust the project settings so that they precisely *match* the properties of my source clips.
For example, if my source clips have the folllowing precise video/audio properties...
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
MPEG files
24 Bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Field Order A
(DVD-NTSC), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8264 kbps)
LPCM Audio, 48 KHz, Stereo
...then I adjust my Ulead DVD MovieFactory project settings to *match.*
I explain more about this in my step-by-step tutorial:
http://www.jonesgroup.net/multitrimstepone.htm
If I *do* wish to re-encode my source MPEG clips, then I UN-check the DO NOT CONVERT COMPLIANT FILES check box.
I then re-enter the VIDEO SAVE OPTIONS menu, I click the GENERAL and COMPRESSION tabs and I select my preferred encode settings.
After I select my preferred encode settings, I click the OK buttons and observe - with each new set of encode settings - a corresponding impact on the length of the blue bar at the bottom of the Ulead DVD MovieFactory interface.
