I always use anydvd 3.2.0.1 to make my drive rpc 1 and dvd decrypter 3.2.1.0. to rip to my hard disk and never had a problem....till now.
Yesterday riping 007 The man with the golden gun, 2 vob files were corrupted. The video looks greenish and pixelated.
First i try to rip with anydvd only; the same result. Then i use dvd decrypter only, and everything was allright, no corrupted video nor pixelation.
What happened??....i don´t know....but finally i make the backup of the movie.
I wanna know if there is a problem trying to rip with 2 programs that perform some identical jobs (maybe that's it)???, and if there's a better way to do it (that doesnt involve hacked firmware) to make my drive region free.
thanks!

I like the retry option (for some damaged or problematic dvds)in dvd decrypter, that anydvd and shrink doesnt have.

Yeah I'll normally use DVDShrink to rip. But any time I get read errors or Shrink cannot rip it. Almost always Decrytper will with almost no trouble. Most of the time though it's one of the menues that's corrupt or BUP and IFO files. In which case I'll just rip the movie only file and run thru IFOedit afterwards.
Some are easy and some take a little work. Depends on the condition of the disk for me I guess.
