Umm- not sure how to state this but ... it has occurred more than once. I am first using DVDDecryptor and then go to DVD Shrink. There are no errors with Decryptor. But when I bring up Shrink the display of the movie is showing "This player is incompatible with the region marking of this disk".

I haven't seen anything in the newbie writeups on this?

  2. I'm wondering if it's an RCE problem, although DVD Decryptor can strip that out... providing you've set the right region for the disc in the options menu ? That might be a place to start looking.

I have found a couple of discs before now where the region coding has been in several IFO files, and some rippers only seem to spot the first one - meaning the disc might act up later on in the movie (or more specifically, when trying to access one or more of the features on the disc).

Try another ripper and / or make sure your current one is up to date. Also try loading each IFO file into say IFOedit and get that to check for region coding. If it finds any, resave the respective IFO file and try again.

It sounds like a problem with the automatic preview player. Have you tried to forge ahead disregarding this message ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

Yes I have. If i remember correctly in B-U The Patriot I did this and now have 2 DVD coasters. I am going to for one thing get a few dvdrw's to do testing from now on which I saw as a tip here to test. I'm in the process of working with info-edit. So, I'll post what the results are from that.

    Thanks
