I have a home movie and wish to add a few comments over the original soundtrack. Can this be done easily, and can you suggest a program?
At the moment I am just stripping out the soundtrack and replacing it with a commentary. Thanks.

I did something similar to this using some voice recording software, doesn't matter which one, which I used to record my voice while at the same time playing the video (with audio turned off) in a seperate window. I took the resulting voice audio, in my case MP3 format, and combined it with the original video using Womble Mpeg Video Wizard. I'm sure there is other video editting software which can do the same thing. You can also add a soundtrack this way.

Thanks, My video is mpeg2. I will try that. BTW, I suppose I could record my voice with my DV camera, then strip the sound and then merge.
