  1. A while back I used dvd decrypter followed by Instant Copy 7.0 with a registry hack that would allow me to pick and select which sections I wanted to copy from my dvd movie. I really enjoyed this method because I could set my quality for the dvd picture and remove most of the extras provided on the dvd movie.

Unfortunately I have lost the program and have to settle with the newer instant copy 8.0. I am unable to pick and select what I want because I don't have the registry hack no longer.

Are there better programs out there that are just as good, if not better than Instant Copy?

I enjoy having the option of picking and choosing what I want and don't want. I do not like the idea of just 'shrinking' the entire movie to make it fit on the dvd.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

You only have to compress the movie to fit on a DVD-R if the film itself is over 4.3GB.

Yoy must have been compressing films over that size before - Unless you put a film over this size onto 2 DVD-Rs

Or if you know a method of getting a film over 4.3GB onto a single DVD-R please let us know I sure the answer would be verrrrrrrry interesting.

DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink can both do what you want.

  3. I remember being able to push the size up to 4.5 or so.

    Anyone else have info?
