My dvd player seems to be making funny noises and the picture is a little fuzy.it started to happen after i started using dvd-r,s in it and second hand dvds.iv tried cleaning it with dvd cleaner disk but no joy.my question is,is it possible for blank dvds to mess up your player?

Maybe your DVD Player has just had it.
Have you tried the discs in another DVD player to see if they work OK ?
As for second hand DVDs - They shouldn't be any problem unless they are are dirty or scratched. The integrity of the disc should be the same as when they were new.
Also when you say

yes i mean dvd-rs with data on them.the used disks i use are scratched and some have finger print marks on them.can this mess the player up?. iv only had this player for 5month,s maybe its the quality of the dvd-r,s or the ex rentals/used dvds that i buy from the net.
