Ok, this is what I have been doing. IVe been stripping DVD's using smart ripper or DVD encrypter, then step 2 is to put them in DVDfab. DVDfab does something to the files so that pinnacle instant copy can make perfect copies of the DVD's. Here is the problem.

Every once in awhile I come across a DVD that doesn't cooperate well.
If you go in DVDFAB BTW this is version 0.17.1. If you choose copy main movie split/strip there is alittle box in the program that says estimated size. Well sometimes it shows the dvd's actual size, but sometimes it will say something in the ballpark of 1.2 GB. Well we all know a DVD is bigger than 1.2GB. when it says this it always only processes like 1/4 of the files that were stripped. If I have a dvd with 4 anime episodes, i end up only burning 1 or MABYE 2.

Remember, the smartripper/dvd encrypter both do their jobs perfectly, they don't leave any files unstripped. This problem is strictly with DVDFAB.

What the heck is the problem?

Also, is there a way to make the new version of DVDfab spit the files out in a nice neat little folder like 0.17.1 does? It keeps wanting to directly burn the files to a DVD and I don't want them on 2 disc's, because pinnacle instant DVD can fit a DVD-9 on a DVD-5 with no quality loss. :]

Please somebody help me. It seems everytime i post on this forum 400 people read it, and nobody feels at liberty to help. :[

There is a box where you can choose to write to a folder or write directly to a blank dvd. As for the dvds not being the correct size dvdlab is probably choosing the wrong pbc file and this is probably an extra or a preview. Make sure when you use dvddecriptor you choose file mode and copy ALL of the files to a directory. If dvdfab chooses the wrong pbc file try to manually select another file and see how long it is. Generally the bigest is the main movie and this is what you want.
