Using SVCD2DVD, I get the 'GOP too long' all the time. Unless you reincode, you can't easily fix it. Turns out that it burns and plays fine with the 'long' GOP's. Have you tried it? Works for me all the time.

  3. cool that it works all the time I heard that also if you just ignore it yeah it will play but only on dvd players that support SVCD. So i should just use SVCD2DVDMPG and load that into TDA and if it says GOP too long just ignore it and it should work fine on my standalon dvdplayer that only play dvdRs?

  4. I haven't specifically used svcd2dvd, but I have had a lot of different video from different sources that had "fatal" GOP errors in TDA and every single time I was able to correct using TMPGEnc>MPEG Tools>Merge & Cut>Type = MPG Program (VBR)> Save As....

As far as choosing ignore as an option...test it yourself using a RW disk, then you'll know if it works for your standalone player
