TMPGENC was working but wont now?!!?!?!????

TMPGENC plus 2.5 - worked perfectly several times but NOW: it takes forever and i mean like up to 10 minutes to load up - once it's loaded i'm able to navigate through the wizard just fine etc - i encoded, then authored with TMPGENC Author - burned and i got nothing!?!?!? the dvd shows a recorded area of only about two inches - it doesnt play in any dvd player either.......this unusable end result has happened three times on three different movies.

all other program on this pc seem to work fine - i uninstalled then reinstalled TMPGENC several times - even used a reg cleaner in between the uninstall and fresh install - still same problem. one clue - when i reinstalled the program had "remembered" that i changed the temp file folder and working file folder how can that be if i removed it entirely and started over?

i'm befuddled!?!???? any ideas??? thanks in advance!

I had a similar problem. I was afraid to delete the folder in the registry
so I created a new Windows userid and logged on with it. Since then I've
had no problems. The vendor was no help at all.
