  1. Hi Gang:

W/o going into a lot of detail, after 2.5 yrs of torture, JVC is replacing my trouble-prone (non-functional 80% of the time) DVM90U. They will be sending me a new (just released) GR-D93.

Based on my experience with the DVM90U, I'm a bit concerned about the short/intermediate/long-term reliability of JVC products. With that in mind, I would like to get a couple of opinions on these questions:

    * Should I keep the D93? [And just assume that my DVM90U experience was not a typical representation of JVC quality?]
    * Or, should I ebay it and buy a Sony, Panasonic, or Canon ?

FYI, the camcorder is meant to be used by me & my wife to video the kids, etc. Nothing fancy req'd. I thought about trying it out for a while, but I assume that opening the box may limit my resale value...

    Thanks! I appreciate any input.

  2. I had a JVC GR-DVM76U for more then a year. The device works great and gave me any problem. JVC is a good brand. Uless you don't like a model itself don't waste your time
