I have a DVD-R (Imation / burned on Pioneer A05) that is full of MP3 files.

Unfortunately, I no longer have these on my hard drive and when I try and read from the DVD-R, I can see the directory structures and files but cannot play or copy the actual files.

Has anyone any ideas how I can recover this data........

    Thanks
    Chris

Tried cleaning the disc and using another PC with no luck.

Have started to try isobuster - its sees two trees (one ISO and one not). I seem to get sector read errors when I try and extract. Will try again.......

Not tried DVDInfopro yet - Thanks.......

Can you copy the ISO to your hard drive and read it with ImgTools?

Just tried DVDInfopro and get read errors......

Error - LBA = 00049d20h and onwards.... Looks like it starts to have problems after about 14% of the disk read.

Is there any hope for me or should I just give up and put it down to bad experience (and not use Imation media again !!!)

very little hope i would say,

even if you did get the corrupt files off they may not sound right

i had the same prob and between copy/paste and isobuster i managed to get some of my MP3's back.

i ended up copy/paste individual songs, and isobuster individual song, if a read error i would just try the next one
