Hi all, I've had a little problem trying to get any capture software besides what came preinstalled on my computer to work at all! My computer is an HP Media Center, 2.8G P4, 1.5G RAM, Geforce 5600 video card, Hauppauge wintv/pvr pci II, with Sonic my dvd, Showbiz, and windows movie maker. I have tried to install the hauppauge wintv and capture software, virtualdub, and iuvcr. None of them work. Attempting to capture with each after installation results in an error window telling me that this device cannot be used when another application is using it. I have quadruple checked my processes to see if any software is running that might be using my tv card and found none. After clicking the ok button for the error, I then get a page showing my hauppauge card as the capture device, followed by a error 418, capture device not detected. It then tells me that it can't connect to any capture driver. All of this even with the hauppauge software. What am I doing wrong here. Do I need to change the settings in the capture software? I've read all the guides to these software items and can not find the answer here in the forums. Does anybody have any ideas or any experience with this issue?

Well hauppauge drivers are known to be not so good actually...
Maybe you can find some info here : http://www.shspvr.com/. They also have a forum dedicated to hauppauge cards...
