  1. Knocked out 8 copies yesterday, no problems, using shrink alone and re-authoring just to get a 100% of main movie only. What program is burning these? I didnt think shrink had a burner, am I mistaken. Seems pretty automatic, as soon as I encode to hard drive, automatically asks me to insert blank media, then burns without a hitch. I really am a dummy and have no idea what I'm doing.....

If you have Nero on your system, Shrink can do a terrific job of automatically stating up Nero, and handling all of the settings for you. This is actually an option you can choose in the preferences menu of Shrink. I think it says something like:
    "Enable burn using Nero."

I have a friend who is having problems with this... when she chooses this option, it does NOT work. It does for me, and for a couple of friends, though. On hers, Shrink merely encodes, and then informs her it is done. She then has to close Shrink, and manually start Nero, and drag the proper files into the required "video" folder. Not certain why, since she has the exact same versions of Nero and of Shrink, and even the same system that I have. The only difference that I can think of... she had a "lite" version of Nero installed first, before she upgraded to the full-fledged suite version (the one that I had). Maybe the Windows Registry is getting confused, and thinks she still has the "other" version. Who knows?
