i went to download a zip file earlier today and i accidentally told IE to open them all, instead of download them. i know i can right click on zip files and download them most of the time, but sometimes that option isnt available. i've tried screwing around with IE but i cant figure anything out. i want it to bring up the normal dialogue when i click on zips, not just automatically open them.
thanksssssssss

winxp handling of zip files sucks ...
do this:
To Disable:
1) Start Menu > Run
2) Type:
regsvr32 /u %windir%\system32\zipfldr.dll
To Enable:
1) Start Menu > Run
2) Type:
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\zipfldr.dll"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Do you get the normal download dialog box when you right click on a zip file, or is this just when you double-left-click on a zip file. Another thing you might check is right-click on My Computer, chose Explore, Tools, Folder Options, File Types. Scroll down to ZIP and see if there is an association with that file type.[/img]
