Just started using the new 3.1.7 version after using older version for months. In the older version you had the option to check "deep analysis" and once Shrink finished the deep analysis it would automatically start encoding. With this new version you have to manually click deep analysis and when that is done manually click back up. Is this true, am I missing something here to have Shrink do both deep analysis and encoding in one step. Please let me know. Thank you.

  2. i think you are doing something wrong. with DA checked the moment you start to backup it does the DA and moves right into transcoding.

That's the problem, I see no where to check DA. If I go to edit/preferences there is no tab there to check DA, only a separate DA tab and separate Back UP tab in the tool bar on top? Puzzled?

  4. The deep analysis option doesn't appear until you click on Back Up. Then, there's four available tabs, one of which allows you to check Deep Analaysis. Once you select all your options, DA begins, followed instantly by transcoding and writing to hard disk or burning with Nero.
