When trying to save an image (JPEG) from a web page into a designated folder, I am unable to rename the image when saving (an icon appears, like the one you get when there is a program needed to open a file, but there isn't one on the computer) If I just click save and then open the folder where it was saved I can then rename the image. Why can't I rename it at the time of saving? I've been able to to so before? I've cleared the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" check box, and hit the delete files button under Temporary Internet files. I've also deleted the files in the Downloaded Program Files folder that are listed as either Unknown or Damaged. But I still can't rename a JPEG image when saving?

  2. Since I've never had that happen, unless it was protected somehow, I'd run scandisk or Norton System Works on it. Then I'd run either a spyware program and an antivirus. I doubt any of those will fix it but it just gets all the "what ifs" outta the way.

Can you name the file something like "whateveryouwant.jpg"
