  1. is there a program which i can make permanent subs on my ANIME dvd rips....i dont want to use vdub or vobsub...

  2. Try FlaskMPEG. The best version to use would be FlaskMPEG 0.6prev1.1 "subtitled fixed" version. You can download it from doom9's site: http://www.doom9.net

    All you have to do is to rip the vob files in their entirety (i.e., in "file mode" with SmartRipper or use DVD Decrypter).

    Then load the relevant IFO in Flask and you get your choice of video, audio and subtitle streams.

  6. As a minor note, FlaskMPEG (subtitled fixed version) is probably the best program to use for subtitles. It is absolutely flawless with pretty much every title you are likely to come across and you get to preview the subtitles before starting.

    As for speed, it depends on the plug-in you are using.

    Also with the audio, the audio output in FlaskMPEG is actually CORRECT. It sounds low because most audio CDs have the audio sampled too loud. If you want it louder, turn up the volume!

    With DVD2AVI, you actually loose a bit of the dynamic range of the audio.

    But I think this is not the case when using Azid for ac3 decoding!
