  1. Hi. I use Adobe Premiere Pro and now successfully use TMPGe for authoring. I have a slightly off the mark question, but I don't know wher else to ask...

When I burn an audio CD on my CD-R, and I use Nero 6, I make sure I am closing the disk, finalizing, not allowing additional things to be recorded. However, when I try to play the audio CD on many players, I get an error message. On one player, it gives a message "disk not finalized". Any idea why it's not finalized? I have Nero at home, also, and it works fine. I know I am doing it correctly.

Sorry if the question is off target.

    Joe

If you have the box "Finalize - No further writing possible" checked it should finalize it. Are you sure it's a music CD that you're selecting? If so, maybe backpedaling to an older Nero might do the trick (ver. 5.5.9.X vs. 6). My installation of Nero 6 at home was so unpredictable I went back to version 5.

  3. Thanks. It's a function of the software, then, not the burner itself?? If what you say is true, what else can I use? Roxio is abyssmal, at least in my experience.

Not enough information to say that yet. Try a trial version of Nero 5 and see if that works. If not, it could be the hardware.
