My friend is using WinTV USB TV card, but he feedback that the video output is laggy by a second or less. For example, before an actor says something, he can heard the speech of the person. Even playback, the audio plays out faster than the action. Why is this so? Could it be his tv card quality?
    Please help.
    Thank you.

WinTV-USB's audio output: Unamplified "line-out." Output is through 1/8" female stereo jack. Line-out is compatible with "line-in" on most sound cards and stereo systems or amplified speakers.
I got the above from Hauppauge's product page. It apparently doesn't handle audio, just video. It has to rely on the PC sound card for audio capture. This sort of design is doomed to fail and lip sync is going to be a continuous battle for you. I've got my own battle scars from this type of product. It's a cheap card and maybe a better one is in order. Stay away from these cheapo video-only cards :P

Oh. He got this TV card from his brother. I think he's buying Hauppauge WinTV PVR250. How's this card anyway?
