Good Afternoon
Well I am a kinda newbie to the Creation of Video-DVDs. I was trying to create a DVD, using about 8 Mpeg-Files from a TV-Show which I recorded some years ago.
Using Nero 6, I created some Menues etc. and all worked pretty well. The Problem now it, that the Sound in the Videos seems to be missing about 0.5 sec. at several locations. The "original" Files sound a kinda OK.
It seems that nero did re-encode the Files.. is it possible, to switch of the re-encoding somehow and will then the Video-DVD be a .. more or less DVD-Video compliant DVD ?
Thanx in advance for any suggestions and Information.

Nero does a lot of things, but some of them it doesn't do well, including DVD authoring. Download TMPGEnc Author and give the trial version a try. If your sound sync is off, it may have been so in the original files. Hard to tell as computer players can compensate. I think you can switch re-encode off. It will probably tell you the file is non-compliant. A DVD-RW is the best way to test for final product - a lot fewer coasters.
