  1. since xbox wont play vcds..is there a way to convert the vcd file to a dvd file and make it so it will play on xbox or ps2....ive tried everything without success..thanks

  2. If your XBOX has an 'upgrade' chip then I would suggest you load XBOX Media Player onto your Hard Drive, it will then play anything a PC can, XVIS, DivX, SVCD, VCD etc from any source, even streamed from the internet!

  3. i've actually tried this for my ps2.. the ps2 WILL NOT play mpeg1 video.. i had all of the southpark season 7 mpeg1's (vcd spec).

    i converted the audio to ac3, built nice little menus in tmpgenc dvd author, popped it in the ps2, it would play the audio when i selected an episode, but no video.. i even tried it with an mpeg2 motion menu as the first play.. even though mpeg1 video is within the dvd sepc the goddamn thing just refuses to.. i'm not sure about the xbox though.

    the ps2 will play svcd mpegs w/ patched headers though.

    this is one of the reasons i've started doing video captures (for series) at 1/2D resolution..
