hello,
I have created a slideshow of all my jpegs (with background music and transitions etc) using Arcsoft Video Impression. The AVI file that it created was huge (1.3gb) for only 15 mins. I then created a SVCD using TMPGEnc (after splitting the audio using Goldwave). This worked no problem and the resulting MPEG was only 316 mb. My DVD player does not play SVCDs so I decided to use the header trick. This is what I did:
1. open TMPGEnc
2. File/Mpeg tools
3. Changed the Type to 'MPEG-1 Video CD'
4. Entered my file name (Slideshow.mpg) in 'Video input'
5. Changed the name to 'Slideshow VCD' in 'Output'
6. Made sure the Type still said 'MPEG-1 Video CD'
7. Hit RUN
The Multiplexing window then appeared and the time bar increased to 100%. At this point the error message "139563 s packets cause buffer underflow. The MPEG file might cause error when played".
The new file that had been created was exactly the same size as the original and (using GSpot) I could see they both had the same properties. Nero would not recognize this as a VCD file !
Am I doing something wrong?
Is Video Impression the best software for this kind of job?
Kind regards
P Williams
